You are all doing such lovely work this summer. I have not managed to get a lot of sewing done and I am very behind on projects. However, things have been busy. My living room has gone from this before image, which I loved but it was time for the green to go!

To this in process image…Once I got the wall painted, my husband decided it was a good time to look into getting that new TV we had been talking about for years. It had been more than 15 years since we had a new one and he wanted to go bigger. Why? I really can’t justify, as we are not big TV watchers. We don’t even watch any kind of sport and we turn the TV on about once a week. This is the very tentative after image while I waited to get another quilt hung.

Here is the quilt that has taken pride of place. It is very summery and bright, and I hope to change it out seasonally. We will see if that happens…
I’ll try to get a better picture posted of the room redo when/if we ever get things organized again.

Here is a little bit better picture of the quilt as I showed it at my quilt group. Maybe if you zoom in you can see some of the lovely hexagons. The hexagons are made from a coordinating fabric. I have started another hexagon quilt where you use 6 panels to make the hexagons and then I will place them around a 7th panel. Maybe I’ll get it finished in the next year or so.

Things have been very crazy and stressful this week as my fur baby is not feeling well at all. This is him, finally at home, after an almost 48-hour stint in hospital for cluster seizures that would not stop. It has taken him a couple of days, but he is finally to the point where he is starting to show his normal self, though he is very sleepy and not much interested in eating as they have him very heavily medicated and it is taking some adjusting.
Many of you who follow me on FB have offered lovely thoughts and prayers for his healing and I am so very appreciative! Thank you!!!

The other baby is very relieved to have him home! She is so lost without him. I am too! So, we had to cancel a weekend trip to see our daughter, but all seems to be getting back to being well again and hopefully we will be able to reschedule it in the coming weeks.
And maybe there will be some sewing projects making some progress soon.

Since I have spent may days sitting and watching my fur baby to make sure he is okay, I have been able to work on some of my crochet projects. This is the new Say It with Flowers blanket from Coastal Crochet & King Cole. I only have this one flower finished of the 8 blocks needed like this. But I made progress on my center as well.

I am loving this project but have also been distracted by two others by Coastal Crochet in the process and have started working on those as well. Like I said, I’ve had a lot of time sitting lately.
But today is a workday and then meeting my husband at the gym with lots of checking on and sitting with my fur baby in between.

With the holiday weekend coming, I will leave you with some red, white and blue. July’s community service quilt blocks for my local quilt group.
The points are really supposed to be blue, which would give the block a completely different look, but I ended up not having enough of the blue once I started cutting. Maybe I’ll try them again in a coming month to make them look correct.
Blessings to all this weekend! Be safe, have fun & enjoy those you love!
Oh goodness! so glad your Fur baby is getting back to his normal self. that is stressful in our babies!! The blue on your wall really highlights that amazing quilt – I love it!!
