Seems like March and April have just been crazy busy. I have managed to get a few things finished in recent weeks though.

This simple quilt just awaited a binding and since the show and tell for next week’s meeting is Nine Patch quilts, it needed to make its appearance. So, thankfully I had some fabric on hand that worked out.

It was a blue that was meant for another project, but it matched perfectly and who knows when the other project will have its beginning, so this one is ready to go. The quilt turned out to be the perfect size for our guest bed.

Our guest bedroom is also a fabric storage room. I had finally gotten tired of moving all the tubs to a different room any time guests were on their way, so… IKEA to the rescue! These cabinets fit perfectly into the room’s little niche, and they held way more than I thought they would! We love them so much that we will be ordering from IKEA to house my yarn collection that crowds my bedroom.

I am so excited to be able to see everything when I open those doors. It will help me know what I have and much easier to plan quilts from my stash.

This modern lap quilt has been hanging around waiting for a binding for years! I have actually bought that olive green multiple times with plans on binding this quilt and it gets used for other projects every single time. But I finally had a great home for this quilt and needed to get it finished so I went shopping in my stash…

I came up with this lovely, cloudy blue that needed a purpose, so the quilt is now complete and has been mailed off to be loved. My daughter’s roommate is recovering from surgery and is definitely a cat lover! Between the two of them, they have 3 cats and a dog. This found it’s purrrfect destination and should arrive today…

I will leave you with some fur baby love. My exercise partner was hogging the mat yesterday. It makes it really hard to get my leg lifts and sit ups done. It would be so much easier to just end the session with cuddles.
This poor baby is not feeling well lately. He suffers from cluster seizures which are currently under control with two different medications. They make him a bit dopey, and he has not much energy. Eventually we get to try to ween him off one of the meds, hoping the new med will be enough. He suffers from great anxiety for days after a seizure episode and is just not himself. I am hoping his exuberance will eventually return. He is the sweetest boy and is always so happy to meet new people, expecting them to just love him immediately.
I hope everyone is having a lovely springtime of stitching! I’ll be linking up with Finished or Not Friday
Ohh poor sweet baby. I love that he loves to be right next to you. and hope that the new meds help him a lot.
