Friday Flimsy

How did it get to be time for Finished or Not Friday already? Time just flies…

This green and brown quilt is an old UFO that I was planning on getting to this month, sometime. It now has a purpose though, to help a friend recover from surgery, so it needs to get finished quick.

It was almost all put together. In fact, it was larger than I wanted so I actually removed a row and then had to remove the inner border and reattach. I am much happier with the size now. It will be a large lap quilt. I will be able to make a small donation quilt with the left-over blocks, I think.

I love it when I can find a good home for my quilts. I can’t keep them all!

I will pick up a backing tomorrow and get this baby on the machine soon.

I have to get this one finished before I can load the other one, so I will try to get up there this afternoon. It is halfway quilted and shouldn’t take too long.

This project came out of the closet in my search for a quilt for my friend and now I feel like it needs to get finished. It just needs two more sections on the side and top and then borders. I managed to get most of the pieces cut out yesterday. So, it might see a finish soon.

And I am trying to get this log cabin quilt finished too. I am so happy with how it looks up on the design wall and I need to place the top and bottom rows still. It will be a great quilt if I ever get it done.

All these projects are distracting me from the main ones I am working on that still need so much work. No finish for today but some in the near future, and lots of sewing to keep me busy.

I will be sharing at Quiltygirl Finished or Not Friday.

  1. What a wonderful array of projects, Andra! Your friend is sure to be comforted by that cozy green and brown quilt. Good luck with finishing all of them and the avoided projects, too!
