First, I have a finish for February. The quilting was done on Saturday and a sleeve and binding completed this morning. And I am ahead of the game because the deadline on this was this coming Wednesday!

I have a huge to do list to accomplish this month. It includes binding a few quilts. Making some teacup blocks, choosing a February UFO to focus on and many other things. However, I never can resist a new start, so I have joined in on the sew along for this beauty. I rummaged in my stash and came up with lots of greens and lots of browns, very few blues, and not nearly enough scrappy pieces that I felt would go well together so, I decided on a mixture of green and brown. Then I had to find cream backgrounds rather than the white I had planned on using. I had some to start with but may be heading out to get more in the next few days. I know the shop will have some to match what I already have and I went pretty scrappy with the background anyway so it should be good.

I got started with the Unit 2s first. They seemed like they would be easier to get done in the amount of time I had but as you can see, they still are not totally completed. I am happy with how they are turning out though.
Apparently, I like green and brown. I have a lot of fabric in those colors, and I already have one green and brown scrap quilt in progress. Maybe I will choose it as my UFO to focus on this month and get both of these done…
I will link up with Monday Musings today. Hop over and see all the other goodies posted…
Happy February!
Congratulations on the lovely finish and that scrappy quilt will be fun!
