I have decided to join PhD in 2026 at Ms. P Designs PHD. Years ago, I was able to make progress with this goal, and I really need to accomplish it again! I am not making any promises to stick to my list because I have wayyyyy more than 12 UFOs, but here is the plan…

  1. This is the one I am currently working on so I will start with it. It just needs a few more seams and some borders. Then it will be a queen-sized top ready to be quilted which I hope to accomplish very soon as well. Need to order white batting for it.

2. This lovely just needs a binding, sleeve, and a repair where I managed to get a hole in the backing. I am hoping it will hang in my stairway, but my husband is not looking forward to figuring out how to do that.

3. I would like to make lots of progress on this applique quilt that I barely have started. I am not going to commit to an actual finish because that would be absolutely amazing!

4. My Harry Potter Bookcase quilt has been so many years in the making! It just needs quilting and binding. But it needs free motion quilting, and I am not confident with my new long arm with free motion. I have a practice quilt on there right now that I am halfway through. Hoping this will be the next one on the machine and I can get it done!

5. This is a quilt I started at a retreat in September. I would really like to see it finished very soon!

6. These table runner and placemats have been quilted and just need binding. Miles and miles of binding- my least favorite part.

7. I have 4 or 5 little quilts that have been started to remember our multiple trips to Hawaii. I am putting them on the list as a group. I hope to make some progress on them. Having them on my wall would be so nice! I know there is a seahorse and one of flowers as well. Then I think I have a kit of another…

8. This double four patch is almost finished. A few more seams and then it can be quilted. Want it finished soon. It has been in the works forever!

9. These blocks are for a quilt I am making for my sister, and a second one for me as well. I would like to get this one finished- by her spring birthday would be awesome!

10. Blocks being constructed. Would be great to see them all done and a finished quilt.

11. This one just needs to be quilted. The backing is already pieced and ready to go.

12. Sorry, no picture but number 12 is actually 2 antique looking quilts that I have been working on over the years. One is inspired by a quilt we saw on display at Williamsburg and the other is one I designed. They are both almost finished tops and I would like to see them as completed quilts this year.

There are so many others as well, so you may see some thrown in that are not on this list. Now to fill in my organizers and get started…

  1. Lovely list of projects! Don’t be scared of your longarm. The best way to learn it is to use it. That being said, I’ve been there and it can be so intimidating.
