I completed my Storyteller blanket (Attic 24). I used my stash, and the colors are much brighter than the original blanket, but I am very happy with the outcome. Here is my Mayzie refusing to budge from her comfy spot for the picture.

A better look at the bright colors and the lovely slipstitch edge- both front and back. Not sure which I like better.

Today I decided on my first Leaders/Enders project of the year. I will be using my 2.5-inch scraps/leftovers to create a scrap quilt, inspired by the pattern called Master Plan by Carrie Nelson. I am not sure what the sizes are in the original pattern, but I do all my smallest scraps in 2.5-inch pieces, so I always need projects for them. Mine will not be quite as scrappy looking as the original because I have decided to do all my star points in purple and hot pink. I originally thought I would make it about lap size but it may end up larger because I have A LOT of scraps for the four patches!

Here are my test blocks and I am pretty sure I am going to love it! I may end up using 4 patches in a border as well, we will see- long time from now…

My goal this year is to get a huge amount of my UFOs finished! This is the UFO I have chosen to work on first. It is just a simple nine patch on lots of white. After reorganizing the pieces, I had sewn already and the loose blocks, I think it will be about 81 inches before I add any border. I have enough of that fabric to do the border and then a coordinate for the back. I won’t go much bigger than that because my long arm frame will only accommodate about 85 inches wide comfortably. I will do some really flowery quilting. Can’t wait so see it finished!

And, I have made a couple more scrappy zipper blocks in recent days. I will be making those along with my leader/ender project as I get scrap strips. I need about 15-20 more of these.
Anyway, off to a good start on working on old projects. I have also pulled out an old crochet project to try to get it done before the new Attic 24 CAL blanket starts next week. This one is a hexi-cardigan and it is more than halfway finished.
Happy Stitching!
I love your Attic 24 afghan. Cute pic with Mayzie, too.

The blanket is spectacular but I was very distracted by the charming creature Mayzie in the photo that I wanted to snuggle with!
