Monday Goals

I finally managed to get my fall table runner and placemats on the long arm this weekend. I even managed to get them trimmed so they are ready for binding- 10 pieces awaiting binding. I have to swing by the fabric store first and hopefully pick up a ton of that gold for binding.

These have been in the works for years and I so wanted them done by Thanksgiving this year, but life did not cooperate and here I am. 9 placemats and one table runner and enough of the fabric left to make some matching tea towels and potholders and maybe a matching cover for my kitchen aide mixer that I have been planning to stitch for years as well. So, maybe by fall next year my kitchen and table will be all decked out in these lovely owls.

These are the blocks from this year’s swap at my quilt guild. I got them back on Thursday and this weekend the quilt went from blocks, to having sashing, to…

being loaded on the long arm for quilting- hopefully today. Now, to decide if I will use a pattern I already have or to purchase something new for it. I also want to make a nice label for the back on the embroidery machine so lots going on today.

Funny story though, while I was sewing on the sashing, I sewed this entire stack of blocks with no bobbin thread. Things were pinned in place, I was matching points and just cranking away. At least 15 minutes of resewing required. I know we have all been there, but this was a bit extreme.

I will be linking up with https://songbirddesigns.blog/monday-musings-12-8-25/

I hope you all get lots of stitching time this week. May the bobbin be ever in your favor!
