Now that the item has been gifted, I can share a picture of my most recent finish. I created this little quilt for a gift exchange at my quilt group that took place at our holiday party yesterday. It is a machine embroidery pattern from Designs by Juju. This took DAYS to embroider. That B alone was 65 minutes! And, despite my embroidery machine troubles, I am thrilled with the result! I hope the recipient enjoys it!

Here I am modeling another recent finish. I created this lovely triangle shawl for a dear friend who has a December birthday. It is a lovely little pattern from Hobbii, “Whirligig Dark Sky Shawl” that I only adapted a little bit. I love how it turned out and I think she did too! Hope it helps to keep her very warm and feeling loved this winter.

I was lucky enough to get a seat at the Nutcracker table yesterday at quilt group. I was not the only one at the table who has a collection. I had a lovely time chatting with the ladies at the table and we had a great holiday party! We were able, as a modest local quilt guild, to donate 3 large wagons of toys to the local Sheriff’s department which they keep in their cars and pass out to children who they encounter on a daily basis. So, many children will receive a bit of love at a time when their world is in chaos.

We received our blocks from our yearly swap. We were a few months short this year but next year should be better. I have that other block somewhere in my sewing room and then I think I will create three more to flesh it out at 12. I had asked for bright, whimsical fabrics and that is what I got. I am hoping to get this into a top before our January meeting.

I also brought these lovelies home with me! They are just a few of the blocks we received in our newly started monthly block drive to use to create donation quilts. I think we got over 90 blocks donated in this, our first month. I chose these at random to bring home and create our first “Cuddle Quilt” for donation. It needs to be finished by the January meeting as well. So, guess what I am doing today…
I will be linking up with https://alyciaquilts.blogspot.com/ for finished or not Friday.

I will leave you with some more puppy love. This is our baby. She was my Christmas present a couple of years ago. A sweet little Australian Labradoodle, Mayzie. She is a cuddle bug for sure.
And, yesterday the pups made sure to lay under the Christmas tree to remind me what a gift they are to me!

As if I needed reminding…
That little Christmas quilt is amazing! Sweet pup and the other projects are awesome too!
