Crazy Day- midweek update

Yesterday was a crazy day! You know how some days are just like that…My husband and I each had a doctor’s appointment. We hit the grocery store in between. Nothing much accomplished on the homefront. When I was finally waiting for my own appointment, our daughter texted that she could use some assistance with a flat tire.

While my husband was occupied with helping her, I decided I’d swing by the local quilt shop to pick up some Christmas prints.

I found almost nothing of Christmas but of course did not leave empty handed. I grabbed dinner along the way and met my two family members at home. My daughter had been hoping to spend her afternoon shopping for a dress she needs on Saturday. We shopped my closet instead, but she didn’t find anything she could use. Finally, after all that busy-ness, I sat down to start Attic 24’s new blanket while my husband delivered my daughter to pick up her car with a repaired tire in place- LOVE Discount Tire- no cost since the tire was under warranty!

Anyway, I am LOVING this new “Storyteller” blanket. The last thing I needed was another started crochet project, but it is fabulous! So glad I did! I am using yarn I already have because I have WAYYYY too much yarn and could not justify purchasing more.

At some point yesterday I did get the ribbing completed on the little hat on the right. It is for a little girl that I keep for a few hours a week, in the color she requested. The hat on the left was the first attempt, and the pattern was way too big for a child so I guess mom will get a matching hat.

On Tuesday I was able to get this little quilt completed. I still need to “ravel” the seams and will hopefully get around to writing a blog post on my process.

I won’t be making much more progress on anything today. spending the morning with a sweet girl and then have to get my glasses repaired. Have a sewing retreat tomorrow that I have to pack for. Think I will be taking multiple projects that each just need a little more sewing to have completed quilt tops…Maybe progress will be made there.

Hope everyone is having a lovely, productive week!
