Finished…or NOT

I worked on a few things yesterday and finished nothing! Here is a Jelly Roll Race I started last week and finally made enough progress to start sewing it together. The pattern can be found at Jordan Fabrics. Hopefully I will get this sewn together soon.

Using the same jelly roll, as I bought two, I am working on a quilt as you go table runner that I may end up teaching at my quilt guild. I taught the same one 12 years ago but wanted to do another so I was confident that I remembered what I was doing. It’s coming along nicely and will probably be completed this weekend.

After cleaning out closets last weekend, I found all sorts of yarn goodies I had forgotten about and of course needed to start another project cause you can never have enough projects on the go, right? I am loving this blanket already and plan on doing many more. The free pattern is from Yarnspirations and is called something like “From the Middle”.

This is the yarn cake I am using, and I have two of them so the blanket should be a decent size. Not really my colors so who knows where this one will end up.

I finally made it to a meeting of the Featherweight Sewing machine group. The first time I tried to go, I got a flat tire, the next month I was out of town. I got this little quilt top finished and made a little progress on another project that I am sure you will see soon since it has a deadline of early November.

I am still wearing shorts in our little corner of the Southwest US but the mornings are chilly and there are definitely signs of Fall. Thankfully we are getting a little bit of rain as well.

So, lots of unfinishes on this Friday and I am off to spend the day with 2-year-olds at the church preschool. I will leave you with a rare sighting of my anti-social baby, Gracie. She cuddles, only when she thinks I am sleeping. But she loves to do yoga with my husband each evening before bed.

I am linking up with Alicia’s Unfinished Friday Have a great weekend!

  1. I don’t usually like Jelly Roll Race quilts but I do like yours with the addition of squares. I love the Ribbon Star you made for the table runner. Hello Kitty!
