October – a finish and One Monthly Goal

So, the red triangles quilt is completed. I managed to find a piece of red in my stash that was big enough to use for binding and also in the quilt already. Pretty good since I have cleaned out my stash recently and it is running low on variety. I was never in love with this quilt and so it sat in the closet as a flimsy for many years. Now that it is quilted, it is really growing on me. I will have to think hard about its future home.

Another close up of the quilting and some of the fabrics. As I mentioned earlier, these were blocks I won from Block Lotto years ago. I miss Block Lotto! The block was the long rectangle made from 4 red triangles.

While reading through my blogs this morning, I was inspired to decide on a monthly goal for October. I will share this goal over on https://www.storiesfromthesewingroom.com/ in her One Monthly Goal Link. While I have many things in the works, I really want to see this quilt finished by the end of the month! I am hoping I will love it enough to hang in in my living room, as I need a refresh.

Happy Fall Sewing!

  1. Your red quilt turned out beautifully. I understand feeling uninspired by a project, but they’re always great when done. Those blocks surrounding your panel look intriguing. I’d love to see them up close. Thanks for linking up your goal.
