June Wrap-up

Here is the project I have been working on the most this past month. The blocks are created on my embroidery machine and are both from patterns found through SweetPea Machine Embroidery. I made them while I awaited and then was recovering from a medical procedure and they brought me great comfort and a chance to focus on something that kept me from worry.

Here is my first week on the King Cole Crochet Along: Festival Fever. A great project that I am enjoying and hoping I can keep on track with to see it finished with the group. The pattern is from the woman behind Coastal Crochet and I have two others of her patterns started and sitting idle. I hope to get back to them after this one. I am also trying to progress on a blanket by Crystals and Crochet. She has great patterns with very good instructions.

This has kept me busy the last few weeks as well. A completely new longarm set up. I abandoned my previous longarm almost a year ago due to complete frustration with it that had led to my never using it. It was obsolete, couldn’t get parts for it and the computer was so out of date that it was no longer supported in any way. After much deliberation I have taken on a new machine and we are having a rough time getting to know each other. But, I have good support from the dealer and am hopeful that soon we will be a great team. If I ever figure out how to use the computer on this baby, I will be able to create some amazing things!

I can’t believe it is July! I am so enjoying looking at everyone’s blogs about their amazing vacations! So many of you have visited or are headed to Alaska! It seems to be the most popular destination this year. I also have a friend who is traipsing around the Northeast US and sending me great pictures of the Atlantic, Maine, and Niagra Falls. I can’t be too jealous as I spent Spring Break in Hawaii, but…

I wish you all the best in the second half of 2025! Safe travels & happy stitching! And may you all be blessed with good health!
