Taking Stock

Wow, what a crazy year it has been! So glad to see December and the end of it and looking forward to a fresh start for 2025.

I finally got the binding on a Christmas scrap quilt from the dawn of time.

Here is a close up of the scraps and quilting. I have started another Christmas scrap quilt, using the Christmas village flannel that is on the back of this quilt. It has become the centers of my scrappy blocks.

I just need to add the sashing but have been distracted by other things. So this one will still be in the works next year, I am sure.

I have started a scrappy, Jen Kingwell inspired quilt that I am dying to get back to so will be today’s focus. This is as far as I have gotten…

I hope to make some good progress on it today while using another scrap project as leaders/enders.

You can see my graph paper drawing of my plan. This will be similar to Jen Kingwell’s Daylesford Quilt which I believe is in her book, Quilt Recipes. It is on my wish list for Christmas! We will see what damage I can do with this in the meantime…

This is how far I got on the Thanksgiving table runner and placemats. Three more placemats are in limbo, waiting for quilting so maybe I can actually use these on the table next year.

Here was my Halloween quilt for this year. I actually got it finished but guess I didn’t take a photo. Maybe I’ll get to that next year…

I completed this beauty last year (or maybe two??) but I love him, so wanted to bring him out to show you. He was SO MUCH WORK and SO MANY HOURS! I wanted to make one for everyone but I was lucky to get one finished….

Hope everyone is having a great time Decking the Halls! I got my first Christmas Card of the year, yesterday. I think I have purchased this year’s cards…Guess I should think about getting them going.

Happy Quilting to All!
