Checking in

Wow, its been awhile. Even the above picture is a bit out of date as this baby weighs about 30 pounds now. I have had quite a year and am trying so hard to adjust to empty nesting. (you’d think three or four years of it would being about adjustment) I work part time and do a lot of crochet. Currently I am cleaning out one of my two craft rooms, trying to get it functional again. I am overwhelmed by the amount of unfinished projects I have. Between crochet and quilting projects already started, the rest of my life is planned out already. And of course, my 3 fur babies keep me busy.

Above is one of my most challenging projects, the Enigma Blanket. I am very far behind the crochet along but I will get there. I have learned so much with this pattern and the video tutorials are the best I have ever seen!

I am also making lots of flowers in hopes of having a sweater at the end of that journey. I’ll keep you posted on that.

This is my autumn version of the Harbor Blanket from Attic 24. It is my relaxing, go to project when I am tired from working on all the challenging projects I have chosen to crochet.

I am currently trying to make a spreadsheet of ALL my unfinished projects- crochet and quilting. It’s not a pretty sight. On the quilting one, I am already close to 60, yes, 2 for every year I have been quilting, and I’m not finished yet. Crochet is growing quickly as I can’t turn down a good crochet along. I am the first to admit that I definitely have a problem and my husband should have had me committed years ago.

This horse quilt has been in the works since my daughter was in middle school and in love with horses. She is now 26. But it is finally ready for a binding.

These puppies are a recent start and I am not sure if they will be individual quilts or part of a larger one. The plan was originally a large quilt which requires more puppies. Individually they would be Project Linus donations.

We will see…

So much to do, but for now I must get ready for work. Tomorrow is a new crochet along starting, and then there is of course the awful housework and laundry that must be done as well.

Happy Stitching to all! Hope I am gonna get back in the swing of blogging. Thanks for being patient with me. I loved browsing blogs this morning. It has been too long.

  1. I would tell you how many quilt projects are on my UFO list, but I can’t find the list! πŸ™‚

I think it is about 30, and some of them are small projects like table runners.
