On today’s task list is getting this quilted! It is on the machine, and I started quilting it a couple of days ago. The machine got grumpy and I turned it off rather than deal with it. Back to it today so that I can get something else loaded for the weekend. I was hoping to get this one finished for a second completed quilt in January, but I doubt it will be bound in time for that. So, maybe the first finish of February.

However, this lovely is what is waiting in the wings and has a deadline of needing to be completed by next Thursday so it might make it under the mark.
It is a sneak peek at the class that I will be teaching at the Spring Retreat of my local quilt guild. The pattern is free from Jordan Fabrics. Just look up their Lone Star patterns, they have a few available. There is also a great video tutorial at Material Girl.

Pretty happy with these sweet blocks as well. They are for an April block donation, and I ended up making too many of the pink & yellow parts so had to make more than needed. I only need 2 blocks for the monthly donation but the other two will either be donated as extra or I will make them into little doll quilts which is another of our community service projects.
I am just so chuffed at how nicely the points all came out etc. Sometimes the simplest blocks are the most beautiful quilts!

Here are my March blocks for that same donation. Again, simple but stunning. Can’t wait to see how the light green/ dark green quilts will come out.

Here are examples of the quilts that get made with each month’s colors. Really beautiful results for these group projects.
There are so many projects in the works that need attention. Some with soft deadlines. I keep a checklist going at all times. I also need to make a trip to the grocery store soon. And Thursdays are always busy around here with weekly scheduled activities going on for both me and my husband. Add in the need to get the trash out for tomorrow…I should get moving! Hope you all have some great sewing time today!

Sorry to hear your longarm was giving you trouble. Hopefully it will behave itself and you can get back to quilting. Love your lone star! That will make a good class. I also like the idea of making charity blocks in a particular color each month. I’m guessing they choose a color and size and let you make whatever you want? That’s fun! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. https://www.inquiringquilter.com/questions/2026/01/28/wednesday-wait-loss-469
