Yesterday I went to a sew in for my quilt guild. I was really hopeful; I took 4 unfinished projects with me thinking that each just needed a little sewing. I only managed to work on this one and did not get it finished or anywhere near. I had the table runner completed and the parts all cut out for the placemats. I finished 5 placemats. I think I will make one more and then use the rest for another table runner. I use them a lot around the house on top of our furniture- TV cabinet, bar top, etc. And our dining table has tile on the top, so we always have placemats. The challenge will then be to get them all quilted and BOUND. I do not like to bind so it will be amazing if I get all the placemats bound in this century.

I have set aside my zipper blocks for a while to work on a quilted sweatshirt. Here is one of the front halves quilted. I have watched the tutorial over at “Jelly Roll Club” youtube. If I succeed in getting this done, it will be the first sweatshirt I have completed. I started a Christmas one years ago and ended up throwing it in the trash. Maybe this one will get to the finished stage eventually.

Here is the back panel. I have one sleeve ready to quilt and am trimming blocks for the other front half. Then I will have to figure out the other sleeve. My wrist is in bad shape from rotary cutting though so not sure I will progress much today. There’s also this thing called housework that will prevent me from being at the sewing machine as much as I want.
I am linking up with https://alyciaquilts.blogspot.com/ today. Visit her to check out her lovely pumpkin quilt! Happy stitching, or houseworking or whatever you are doing today!
Love your optimism to take 4 projects!!! at least you were thinking positively!!! The table runners look great – so…. instead of binding could you just serge the smaller pieces?
