A Friday Finish to show…

I took a class through my local quilt group yesterday to make this little bag for holding sewing supplies. It was not too difficult and came out really cute. I did a decent job, so I felt good. I usually struggle with bags.

It has a snap ring that holds it open or closed. I chose the outside fabric and when I was trying to decide on a lining, my husband and best quilting advisor said it needed the solid. I have some great fabrics in my stash but not always great coordinating fabrics so the solid was the best choice and I am glad I went with it. It worked out nicely, I think.

I made some progress on the graduation quilt. Here it is as a flimsy. I actually have it quilted now and will try to get the binding on there today. I am much happier with it now that I have it together. It is very pretty. I may actually get it in the hands of the graduate before her first day of University.

I started on a Christmas project, but it looks like I will have to get my machine in for maintenance as it told me it was time. There won’t be much more progress on this until after that. Don’t want the machine to die on me closer to Christmas when I am knee deep in projects with deadlines.

Hope everyone gets lots of great stitching done this weekend!
